Stretching improves your flexibility and physical activity. It helps with blood circulation, muscle repair, and decreases the likelihood of injury.

Remember, stretching is not a warm-up but part of a warm-up. It includes 4 components: General warm-up (e.g. 6 minute walk on treadmill), Static Stretching (gentle stretches), Activity-Specific warm-ups (10 minute drills to prepare the body for the activity you’re about to do), Dynamic Stretching (movements that copy the activity for which you are warming up).
